José Guzman is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, playing with both the Texas Rangers and the Chicago Cubs over a span of 10 years. Although baseball was a major part of his life, nothing was more important to him than his mother.
It is because of his personal experience with the suffering that Alzheimer’s Disease caused his mother, and ultimately his entire family, that he chose to start the Guzman23 Foundation. Through this foundation, José hopes to provide financial assistance to those suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease as well as their families or loved ones when finances or basic insurance are unavailable.
José is also passionate to help families care for their loved ones in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible, and to help improve Alzheimer’s facilities, making them a place where families feel their loved ones receive the utmost care with dignity and compassion.
Kristina Guzman is a Texas native, a resident of Southlake, Texas since a child, a devoted mother of two sons and the loving wife of José Guzman. Her 23+ year career in real estate sales and brokerage ownership is also a passion. In 2003, with a three-year-old and a newborn, she obtained her brokerage license and opened a RE/MAX franchise in Southlake. For years following Kristina’s brokerage steadily received achievement accolades, including #1 in Tarrant County for RE/MAX, one of the top RE/MAX offices in the state of Texas and one of the Top 25 real estate companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in terms of sales volume. Though Kristina and her partners sold their award-winning RE/MAX franchise in 2015, she remains dedicated to her real estate clients, helping them buy and sell homes throughout Dallas-Fort Worth. She also founded a business providing customized brokerage services to Texas RE/MAX office owners.
Kristina also passionately contributes her time and resources to charities such as GRACE, Southlake Newcomer's Club, Texas Sentinels and Children's Miracle Network.
