José Guzman

Founder

Message from the founder

Jose Guzman is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, who played with both the Texas Rangers and the Chicago Cubs over a span of 10 years. Although baseball was a major part of his life, nothing was more important to him than his mother.
It is because of his personal experience with Alzheimer's and the suffering that it caused his mother, and ultimately his entire family, that he chose to start the Guzman23 Foundation.Through this foundation, Jose hopes to be able to provide financial assistance to those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, their families or loved ones when finances or basic insurance is unavailable.
It is Jose's desire to help families care for their loved ones in their own home as long as possible, as well as helping to improve Alzheimer’s facilities, making them a place where families feel their loved ones will be cared for with compassion.

After a brief stint in corporate America right out of college, she secured her real estate license in 1995 and has been in the real estate industry since.
She opened her company, RE/MAX Masters, in 2003 in Southlake and is now the broker to over 70 agents. Since 2008, her company has been consistently #1 in Tarrant County for RE/MAX, one of the top offices for RE/MAX in the state of Texas as well as one of the Top 25 real estate companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in terms of sales volume.
Her contribution of time and involvement in charities such as GRACE, Southlake Newcomer's Club, Texas Sentinels, and Children's Miracle Network have helped generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in local assistance to those in need. She is thrilled and honored to support Jose in this worthy cause for a disease that has also afflicted her family.
